Simple solid color layer

A backer (also called a layer or mount) is a coordinating piece of cardstock placed behind your invitation, menu, or card to add structure, color, and a refined framed edge. Much like a photo mat, it enhances the presentation and gives the suite a thicker, more luxurious feel.

Each backer is trimmed slightly larger than the card (about ⅛”–¼” reveal) and mounted with archival adhesive for a clean, even border. Backers can be chosen to match your envelope color or introduce a subtle contrast for added depth.

Available in smooth, cotton, shimmer, foil, and glitter stocks, they can be single or double-layered, and finished with square, rounded, deckled, or die-cut edges. The finished piece still fits perfectly inside the selected envelope.
