Specialty paper layer

Specialty backers feature a decorative face and a smooth white reverse side with a slight vinyl-like finish. They’re designed primarily for layered use, adding shimmer or texture when mounted behind another cardstock backer rather than directly on a flat invitation.

Because the reverse side is not paper-textured, we don’t recommend using these as a single-layer backing or adhesive surface for your main invitation. They work beautifully, however, as the bottom layer in a double backer setup, especially beneath shimmer or colored cardstock, creating a dimensional, luxurious finish.
