The Big Fake Wedding Chicago 2016

About a month ago we have been blessed to be chosen with a magnificent team of vendors to be part of The Big Fake Wedding, a modern bridal show alternative where a “Real fake wedding” takes place and newly engaged couples get to be part of the event as guests, and truly experience the wedding vendors in action.

The Chicago event was absolutely thrilling! We met with the team the day before the event for a cocktail hour at the Pinstripes, everyone looked so relaxed and ready to have fun and meet tons of gorgeous couples. We spent the night at the Doubletree (thank God for room service!) and the following day we were ready to get our little booth set up and all our 240 pieces of stationery set for the guests.

When brides, grooms and wedding parties started flowing in, the husband was there to welcome them with their own copy of the custom designed Wedding Invitation and Wedding Program.

The theme of the event was “Peacock meets Frank Sinatra”, quite challenging but also so much fun! I’ve designed a custom watercolor artwork which was the main character of the suite, being featured on the custom envelope liners, on the inserts and on one of the (many) layers of the extra large invitation card. The back side featured a gold foiled monogram onto luxurious imperial blue linen. The inspiration for the program came of course from the peacock wheel, the die cut was specifically created for the event, and featured white ink printing on blue linen card stock.

The event itself was beautiful (don’t miss the video from Jiu Studio here !) and after the brief ceremony the guests could meet the vendors on the “Tunnel of Love”, where every vendor had its own personal space to meet and mingle with the guests/couples.

120 wedding invitation suites and 120 hand created program fans were distributed to the guests

And cherry on top, the event was featured on Ruffled! You can see the full post here  and the post from thebigfakewedding.com here

We hope to have the honor to work with The Big Fake Wedding many times in the future!
